OUR TEAM
At Gardens of Ibiza, we create together ecological landscapes
Alberto Parraga
OWNER & Garden Operations Director
My name is Alberto, and I’m the co-founder of Gardens of Ibiza. I’m a proud father and a devoted husband. My journey into the world of permaculture began after my studies at Valencia University, where I developed a deep passion for sustainable living. For me, permaculture isn’t just part of my work, it’s a way of life.
After moving to Ibiza, I fell in love with the island’s natural beauty and began designing gardens that exist in harmony with their surroundings. My goal has always been to create green spaces that are both functional and regenerative, gardens that give back to the land.
Every project I design reflects the permaculture principles I live by: using natural systems to create self-sustaining ecosystems that thrive over time. By choosing Gardens of Ibiza, you’re not only investing in a beautiful landscape, but also supporting a shared vision of a greener, more sustainable future.
Adrián Riaz Ribell
ecological lead Gardener
Adrián is an Agricultural Engineer with a Master’s in Agroecology and more than 15 years of hands-on experience in organic and regenerative food production. Based in Ibiza, he has designed and managed productive landscapes ranging from private kitchen gardens to large-scale regenerative farms (including managing a 20-hectare finca with a full farming team and cultivated biodiversity).
Adrián brings deep expertise in agroecological methods, local Mediterranean crops, and resilient growing systems - building beautiful, abundant vegetable gardens that are practical, seasonal, and tailored to each property. He is also an active advisor, educator, and contributor to seed-conservation networks, helping protect and revive local varieties across Ibiza and Formentera

His attention to detail and respect for nature help create healthy, resilient gardens that flourish throughout the seasons.

Andrew Vafi
Managing Director
My name is Andrew, and I’m the Director of Finance & Business Development at Gardens of Ibiza.
I bring more than fifteen years of experience in building businesses, shaping growth strategies and leading commercial and financial operations across international companies and entrepreneurial ventures. With a background in Business Administration and a Master’s degree in Marketing, my career has centred on business development, commercial strategy, financial management and entrepreneurship.
Moving to Ibiza brought that experience into a completely different world. My appreciation for the island’s landscapes, Mediterranean gardens and regenerative ways of working with nature led me to become involved in Gardens of Ibiza.
Today, I lead the financial and commercial direction of the company, with responsibility for financial strategy, business development, strategic partnerships and long-term growth. My focus is on building a strong and sustainable business that gives our landscape professionals, designers and specialists the foundation to deliver exceptional work.
Tosca Willems
Finance & Marketing
Hi, I’m Tosca, part of the Gardens of Ibiza team. With a background in Industrial Design from Delft University of Technology, I’ve always been fascinated by how thoughtful design can make everyday life easier and more enjoyable.
I’ve been living on Ibiza for the past two and a half years, surrounded by nature out on the campo, a constant source of inspiration. Within our projects, I support both the design process and the behind-the-scenes organisation that keeps everything running smoothly.
I love creating structure while leaving plenty of space for creativity. To me, gardens are more than just outdoor spaces, they’re living places where beauty and sustainability meet, where families play, and creativity flows. My goal is to help shape vibrant spaces where people feel both inspired and at home.

With a love of nature at the core of everything we do, we collaborate with a trusted network of permaculture-minded specialists - each with their own proven process, high quality standards, and a strong track record on Ibiza. They’re brought in when a project requires specific expertise, from productive kitchen gardens to fruit forests, hanging gardens, and swimming pools
Landscape Designers Partners
Andy & Raina
At Soho Farmhouse in Ibiza, Raina and Andy designed a distinctive garden that softens the architecture through layers of evergreen structure, ornamental grasses, and seasonal perennials. Each plant was chosen for its resilience in the island’s dry climate.
This Ibiza garden design combines drought-resistant planting with sustainable landscaping, ensuring long-lasting beauty while conserving water. The result is an outdoor space that feels refined, grounded, and in harmony with its Mediterranean setting.
Our Knowledge Partner
Asociación de Permacultura de las Islas Pitiusas
Permaculture for us means designing gardens like healthy ecosystems - productive, resilient, and regenerative. With APIP as our knowledge partner, we apply food forests (layered planting of trees, shrubs, herbs and groundcovers), build soil with organic matter, mulch and sometimes biochar to improve fertility and water retention, and use water-wise design (smart planting, micro-catchments and rainwater harvesting) to create drought-resilient gardens with less irrigation pressure
Permaculture Gardens
Mimics nature, promoting resilient, productive, and low-maintenance landscapes
Clean Gardens
