Soil: Deep, loose, well-drained sandy or loamy soil; remove stones for straight roots

Sunlight: Full sun to partial sun

Water needs:

Moderate; consistent moisture for even roots

Wintergreen: No (biennial grown as annual)

Permaculture: Good companion in mixed beds (pairs well with onions/leeks); flowering umbels (if left) support beneficial insects

Plant density: Thin to 5–8 cm apart; 60–100 plants per m²

Sow in fine, stone-free soil for straight roots. Keep the seedbed consistently moist until germination (this can take 1–3 weeks). Thin seedlings to prevent crowding and small roots. Water regularly but avoid overwatering; mulch helps keep moisture stable. Weed gently so you don’t disturb roots. Harvest when roots reach desired size; in hot weather, keep soil from drying out to avoid bitterness or splitting.

Do you have a specific spot in your garden in mind? Let us know, and we’ll do our best to deliver directly to that location. Please note: access must be suitable for our truck, especially when delivering materials like gravel or soil. If special handling is needed, an extra charge may apply.

Delivery costs:

• Standard delivery: €29,95
• Delivery to remote areas (San Antonio, San Joan, and San Josep): +€25
• If a truck is required for delivery, an additional charge of €142 per truck will apply.

We take great care to ensure that every plant we deliver is healthy, strong, and in its best condition. Up until the moment of delivery, we are fully responsible for your plant. Once it arrives, however, the responsibility shifts to you.

Please understand that plants are living organisms and require the right care to thrive. Overwatering, poor soil, or unsuitable conditions can all affect the health of your plant, and these factors are outside of our control.

We do not offer a warranty, as we cannot guarantee how a plant will be treated after delivery. Buying plants always carries a small natural risk: 2% to 10% of plants may not survive, even if everything appears fine from the outside. Unfortunately, this is part of working with nature and not something we can prevent or refund.
