Height: Up to 2–3 meters (6.5–10 ft) in pots and up to 5 meters (16 ft) in open ground under optimal conditions.

Flower colour: Small, fragrant creamy-white flowers arranged in large clusters.

Flowering period: Late spring to early summer.

Soil: Prefers well-draining soil; thrives in sandy, loamy, or light clay soils. Avoid waterlogged conditions.



Sunlight: Full sun to partial shade, but leaf colour is most vibrant in full sun.

Water needs:

Moderate; water well in dry periods but allow the soil to dry slightly between watering.

Wintergreen: Yes, it is an evergreen plant retaining its colourful foliage year-round.

Permaculture: Ideal as a structural plant in Mediterranean, coastal, or drought-tolerant gardens. Also suitable for container planting and modern landscape designs.

Plant density: Allow 80–100 cm spacing between plants when planted in the ground to give each specimen enough room to develop its crown.

Place in a sunny to partially shaded position. Water regularly during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Once established, it is drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional deep watering in hot, dry periods. Protect young plants from frost and prune dead or damaged leaves at the base.

We do not offer a warranty, as we cannot guarantee how a plant will be treated after delivery. Buying plants always carries a small natural risk: 2% to 10% of plants may not survive, even if everything appears fine from the outside. Unfortunately, this is part of working with nature and not something we can prevent or refund.
