Flowering period: This plant doesn’t have a flowering period (grown for fruit).

Soil: Rich, fertile, well-drained soil; warm soil and compost improve yield

Sunlight: Full sun

Water needs:

Moderate to high; consistent moisture during fruiting

Wintergreen: No (annual)

Permaculture: Excellent ground cover for living mulch; flowers support pollinators; high-yield crop for seasonal food resilience

Plant density: Crawl: space 1.2–2 m apart; 1 plant per 2–4 m²

Plant in full sun in warm, fertile soil after nights are mild. Give plenty of space for vines to spread, or guide them along an edge to keep beds tidy. Water deeply and consistently, especially during flowering and fruit swelling; avoid wetting foliage late in the day. Feed with compost at planting and a potassium-rich fertiliser once fruit sets. Mulch to retain moisture and keep fruits clean. Harvest when the skin is hard, colour is fully developed, and the stem starts to dry and cork.

Do you have a specific spot in your garden in mind? Let us know, and we’ll do our best to deliver directly to that location. Please note: access must be suitable for our truck, especially when delivering materials like gravel or soil. If special handling is needed, an extra charge may apply.

Delivery costs:

• Standard delivery: €29,95
• Delivery to remote areas (San Antonio, San Joan, and San Josep): +€25
• If a truck is required for delivery, an additional charge of €142 per truck will apply.

We take great care to ensure that every plant we deliver is healthy, strong, and in its best condition. Up until the moment of delivery, we are fully responsible for your plant. Once it arrives, however, the responsibility shifts to you.

Please understand that plants are living organisms and require the right care to thrive. Overwatering, poor soil, or unsuitable conditions can all affect the health of your plant, and these factors are outside of our control.

We do not offer a warranty, as we cannot guarantee how a plant will be treated after delivery. Buying plants always carries a small natural risk: 2% to 10% of plants may not survive, even if everything appears fine from the outside. Unfortunately, this is part of working with nature and not something we can prevent or refund.
