Water needs:

Spring: Moderate watering, especially during dry spells.
Summer: Regular watering during extreme heat, but avoid waterlogging.
Autumn: Minimal watering needed, quite drought-tolerant.
Winter: Almost no watering required, sensitive to overly wet soil.

Wintergreen: Yes, Thyme is evergreen and retains its leaves during winter.

Permaculture: Ideal for permaculture; attracts bees and butterflies, improves soil health, and acts as a natural ground cover.

Plant density: 20 - 30 cm apart for full coverage

Thyme is a sun-loving herb that thrives in well-drained soil. Place it in full sun, at least six hours daily. Water only when the soil feels dry, as thyme doesn’t like wet roots. Use pots with drainage holes if growing indoors. Trim the plant regularly to keep it compact and encourage new growth.

Thyme doesn’t need much fertilizer; a light feeding in spring is enough. In colder climates, cover outdoor plants with straw or leaves in winter to protect the roots. Indoors, ensure good airflow. With minimal care, thyme stays healthy and aromatic year-round.

Do you have a specific spot in your garden in mind? Let us know, and we’ll do our best to deliver directly to that location. Please note: access must be suitable for our truck, especially when delivering materials like gravel or soil. If special handling is needed, an extra charge may apply.

We take great care to ensure that every plant we deliver is healthy, strong, and in its best condition. Up until the moment of delivery, we are fully responsible for your plant. Once it arrives, however, the responsibility shifts to you.

Please understand that plants are living organisms and require the right care to thrive. Overwatering, poor soil, or unsuitable conditions can all affect the health of your plant—and these factors are outside of our control.

We do not offer a warranty, as we cannot guarantee how a plant will be treated after delivery. Buying plants always carries a small natural risk: 2% to 10% of plants may not survive, even if everything appears fine from the outside. Unfortunately, this is part of working with nature and not something we can prevent or refund.
