“We believe in creating beautiful gardens together, always with respect for nature and our surroundings.“

Andrew Vafi
Co-founder
My name is Andrew, and I’m the co-founder of Gardens of Ibiza. I’m the proud father of Sterre, Lieve, and Pepijn, and deeply passionate about nature and gardens.
Although I completed my university studies in Amsterdam (Business Administration and a Master of Science in Marketing) and built a career at some of Europe’s leading corporations, I have also founded several entrepreneurial ventures over the past ten years. That journey gave my family and me the opportunity to move to Ibiza, a place where my lifelong love for nature could truly flourish.
After designing several gardens and creating my own 1,000 m² garden here on the island, I realised it was time to follow my passion fully. Combining my academic background, retail experience, and hands-on love for gardens, I began training as a Garden Designer in 2022.
With passion and dedication, I strive to bring beautiful, meaningful gardens to life, spaces that inspire connection, calm, and growth.
Alberto Parraga
Co-founder
My name is Alberto, and I’m the co-founder of Gardens of Ibiza. I’m a proud father and a devoted husband. My journey into the world of permaculture began after my studies at Valencia University, where I developed a deep passion for sustainable living. For me, permaculture isn’t just part of my work, it’s a way of life.
After moving to Ibiza, I fell in love with the island’s natural beauty and began designing gardens that exist in harmony with their surroundings. My goal has always been to create green spaces that are both functional and regenerative, gardens that give back to the land.
Every project I design reflects the permaculture principles I live by: using natural systems to create self-sustaining ecosystems that thrive over time. By choosing Gardens of Ibiza, you’re not only investing in a beautiful landscape, but also supporting a shared vision of a greener, more sustainable future.
Tosca Willems
Support & Designer
Hi, I’m Tosca, part of the Gardens of Ibiza team. With a background in Industrial Design from Delft University of Technology, I’ve always been fascinated by how thoughtful design can make everyday life easier and more enjoyable.
I’ve been living on Ibiza for the past two and a half years, surrounded by nature out on the campo, a constant source of inspiration. Within our projects, I support both the design process and the behind-the-scenes organisation that keeps everything running smoothly.
I love creating structure while leaving plenty of space for creativity. To me, gardens are more than just outdoor spaces, they’re living places where beauty and sustainability meet, where families play, and creativity flows. My goal is to help shape vibrant spaces where people feel both inspired and at home.

Landscape Designers Partners
Andy & Raina
At Soho Farmhouse in Ibiza, Raina and Andy designed a distinctive garden that softens the architecture through layers of evergreen structure, ornamental grasses, and seasonal perennials. Each plant was chosen for its resilience in the island’s dry climate.
This Ibiza garden design combines drought-resistant planting with sustainable landscaping, ensuring long-lasting beauty while conserving water. The result is an outdoor space that feels refined, grounded, and in harmony with its Mediterranean setting.
Our Knowledge Partner
Asociación de Permacultura de las Islas Pitiusas
Permaculture for us means designing gardens like healthy ecosystems - productive, resilient, and regenerative. With APIP as our knowledge partner, we apply food forests (layered planting of trees, shrubs, herbs and groundcovers), build soil with organic matter, mulch and sometimes biochar to improve fertility and water retention, and use water-wise design (smart planting, micro-catchments and rainwater harvesting) to create drought-resilient gardens with less irrigation pressure
Permaculture Gardens
Mimics nature, promoting resilient, productive, and low-maintenance landscapes
Clean Gardens
